Meaning of Home

Meaning of Home Home is not a brick wall. That wall is just your house. What really makes home home is love, calmness and warmth. Love is having fun with loved ones and laughter when my family makes a joke. It’s hugs, kisses and playing games with my sister. Love is also cuddling up with my family watching movies and eating popcorn. Love isn't always about family, it's about friends too. Calmness feels like home. Reading to my sister or myself and relaxing on my couch is calmness to me. Calmness is also listening to music and making crafts for loved ones or even just for fun. I could never feel at home without calmness and my hobbies. Warmth is a burning fire or friends and family’s warmth through love. Warmth can be food too, like when food is sizzling on the stove and you know you won't be hungry for long. Being warm can mean being cozy like laying down on your bed as comfy as a cloud. You know that you are safe and secure and that you will wake up sheltered. Warmth isn't just being warm it’s about the people you spend time with too. When Habitat for Humanity builds houses, the people they make houses for can make that house into their home with love, calmness and warmth.
