Difference between a house and a home

Everyone thinks that a home is a couple of walls and a roof, but that's a house not a home. A home is so much more than that. Home isn't a place it is a feeling, most of the time it is the people in the house that create a good feeling of home.When I think of home I think of my mom, dad and brother. It feels like my own secret lair. I love my home but sometimes I also like my own space. The rooms in my house are what make me feel whole.. Sure a house is amazing but in a home I can feel warmth and love. Maybe my house is here in Canada or in Nigeria with most of my family. But if it is not with my mom, dad and brother then it is not home. My favourite room in my house is my own room, I like to spend time with my family but also with myself. In my room I can do things my way, feel the way I want to feel , say what I want to say and think with my own mind. Being with myself can be lonely but calming. In the end home is supposed to be a place where you feel happy and whole. I always feel safe in my home, I hope your home is a place where you feel safe and happy.
