Born to belong

Like a hibernating bear, Vancouver has a calm air, but is also packed with both pasta and rice which presents it with so much life. Home is peaceful. Meanwhile, the frantic Hong Kong buzzing with excitement lifelong. Tall buildings, skinny roads, and beaches so charming. Hong Kong is always awake and so hard working. Home is lively. Arts Umbrella pushes me to always work productively, even when it's the hardest sautés, teaching me key lessons everyday. Home is where you learn. Headphones, iPad, and my pencil. All in my little fort under the table. A big bedskirt hanging over me while I do my homework casually. Home is where you get things done. The big house is like an enjoyable castle, with lots of room for imagination to tackle, ideas bloom, and inspiration strikes. Every adventure reaches unimaginable heights. Home is where you can be creative. Our skinny town house with lots of stairs. Up and down, but on to where? Thighs burning, shins aching, feet sore, and the urge to just climb and freely soar. Home keeps you motivated. All the cozy apartments, with minimal decor. Quiet bookshelves and carpeted floor. Yellow lights on secure strong walls that comforts and protects all my trips and falls. Home is where you are safe. Warm coziness surrounds me when I get into my blankets deeply. The dreamland is ready for me as I explore in my pyjamas, maybe from the night before. Home is a happy place. Soft conversations, uplifting smiles, familiar sounds, and forever hugs. Family and friends make home the one and only. Home is where I belong.
