Paint Chip Poetry: Home

Home is under a soft sky, where we share pumpkin pie after Christmas dinner. Or in the summer when you have a pool party at your friend's house and their parents bring you and your friend strawberry slush. Home is where you daydream about mossy Meadows were eating a crumb cake with red raspberry sauce. How is where you have candles in your room that smell like baked brown sugar. Home is baking chocolate chip cookies with your mom home. Is somebody saying hello honey when you get home. Or someone to help you change your room walls from night navy to pink pirouette home. Is you complaining because your grandma is trying to tell you that her old olives are still good. Or you and your family going to Pacific point. Home, home can be anything as long as you make it feel like home.
