what home means to me

Home is where I feel safe. Safe means protected from any dangers. Everything in my home gives me a warm feeling. Home is where I feel loved. Everyday I'm surrounded by my family that shows me in different ways what love is, either through the way we speak to each other, we listen to each other, care for each other and how we treat each other. Yes, it's not always perfect, but it helps me build a strong character. At home I have many things like food, water, shelter, and I am thankful for them. My parents make sure that every day I receive healthy nourishment, clothes, and a clean bed where I can rest. I understand that I have more than a lot of people. So, that is an even greater reason why I should be thankful for what I have. Every time I get home there is always somebody waiting for me and asking how my day went which makes me feel loved and important. At home I learn about how I have to behave so that one day I can become a trusted member of society. I am taught how to behave and interact with other people my age, but also older (my grandparents). I am receiving daily teachings from older generations that help me make good decisions every day. I wanted to know what others thought about what the word "home" means to them, and I found the quote below that perfectly expresses my feelings on the subject. "Home is where love resides, where memories are made, where friends and family gather, and where laughter never stops." I hope it reminds you of your home too.
