The Memories of a Home

Home is a place where you feel safe and warm, but a house is different. A house is just a building. It doesn’t carry memories on its own, but a home does, because the people and moments inside it leave invisible fingerprints everywhere. I remember when I was little, jumping on the couch with my brother Logan, waving fake plastic swords like we were in some epic battle. That kind of memory doesn’t live in the walls. It lives in you, and in the feeling you get when you think about it. But here’s the twist: a home isn’t always more fun than a house. A house can feel like loud laughter and wild stories. Home can feel calmer. Softer. So maybe it’s not that a home is less fun. Maybe it’s that a home is deeper. A house is where things happen. A home is where those things stay with you.
