A Place called Home

To me home is something more than just the place, it is a feeling or a person or crowd of people that care about you and how you feel. Home, a safe place you can run to when you are hurt. A learning environment where you don’t get judged. You can express yourself in your home, it is like a décor game except it can become a reality. It is not just a place, it is the people, a family that supports you in any way and everyway, people that don’t make fun of you or compare you to other people. The purpose of a home is to make it easier for you to express yourself. Another way to look at home is in terms of milestones in your life! Each moment of your life is made in your home. When you were born, the first place you went to was home and each of your birthdays were made at home! When I grow older, I will likely have my own home, a place I call my own. In my home, I have a lot of art supplies, a glow up pencil, an Alexa, my bed and some drawers. I would love to paint my walls a darker color like dark purple, dark blue or black and red- I haven’t told mom that yet! Though it is nice to have a home, many people unfortunately don’t have a home, so we must try our best to raise money to build affordable community homes for the homeless, a place they can just walk into if they have nowhere else to go.
