Home Is A Special Place

Home is where I feel safe and loved. My home has the smell of spring-like fresh flowers. After school I am thankful for a comfy bed to sleep and lay on. My home is where I can do my homework in peace. The fireplace in my living room glows during the cold, long winter. It's where I have support, and people who care for me. Home is where my Dad makes my favorite chicken soup. In my home I can watch Dad and my brother argue over if the hockey puck went in the net while they play mini sticks. My dad always makes me laugh even though his jokes aren't always funny. In my home my brother runs then jumps onto our couch, while my mom isn't looking. Home is where you will make memories and remember them wherever you go. I'm thankful that Habitat for Humanity is helping people realize how special it is to have a home.
