What Does Home Mean to Me?

First I’ll start telling you what the difference is between a house and a home. A house is just a building you live in. A home is where you feel like you belong, a place where you’re loved. A home can be anywhere in the world, for me a home is where I have people that love and care for me, where I feel like I belong. What do you feel like at your home? Everyday when I come from school, the aromas of my mom’s food and the yapping of my younger sister. Even though it gets really loud when I get home, it feels amazing. My dad starts yelling “ Do your homework!”. After I finish up my homework my family and I have dinner together. We talk about how our day was and laugh. This is what my day after school looks like, and this is what home means to me. This is what my day after school looks like. Now I will talk about what my family and I do on the holidays or weekends. Most of the time we stay home and play games together like Hide and Seek. In summer we travel to other countries. It’s often India. Once during spring break, we went to Disney World in Orlando for my birthday. I enjoyed it so much. What do you and your family do during the holidays? Habitat for Humanity is helping the kids who don’t have any place to call home so that every kid in Canada has a home. A big thank you to Habitat for Humanity for this amazing thing they are doing. Thank you for reading!.
