Meaning of Home
A home and a house are very different. A house is a shelter, but a home is different. My home is where I am loved and wanted. My home is more than a place where I live; it’s a place where I am drowned with joy, hugs, and belonging.
I am filled with joy when I come home and my family greets me, and I feel so relaxed when I fall asleep on the comfiest bed, my own.
Think of home like buried treasure, and families are pirates, searching for the treasures money can’t buy: laughs, joy, and love. My parents teach me about life, and I share with them my hopes and dreams.
It doesn’t matter if it is a hot, sunny day, where my family and I are making homemade popsicles, or a cold, snowy day, where we’re sipping on hot chocolate and having a movie night, my home always welcomes me with love. We still might argue, but a true home is when deep down we still love each other.
A house gives shelter, but my home wraps an invisible bubble around me, only allowing postivity.
We talk, play games, and tell jokes on our couch, all while the delicious smell of homemade food enters my nose. When it’s dinnertime, we don’t just eat. We talk, tell stories and make memories.
But, only the best memories get put on the wall. Each photo on the wall holds a neverforgotten memory, which is held deep down, in the V.I.P section of my heart.
So, I hope you’ve learned the difference between a home and a house; a house may give shelter, but a home is where I’m meant to be. I'm loved and wanted, and each day is a new chapter in a long, long book
