A Fish Far From Home

Hi, I’m Aqua and I live in the Pacific Ocean, or at least I did. See about three years ago I was swimming with my school down to the coral reef but before we knew it the current started changing and getting as strong as a shark. We thought it would be fine to keep swimming but we were wrong. The current started swishing all of us around like a big tornado of fish, I was so dizzy. I eventually regained stable condition but I noticed I was alone. I turned around, maybe my school was behind me… nope I was alone.I decided to swim up to the surface to get a better idea on which part of the ocean I was in. It was a surprisingly short swim up, and when I popped up above the water I didn't see sand or much more water. I saw grass, mud and spiky trees. I turned around and… I couldn’t believe my eyes, a big, tall,never-ending chunk of water falling from the sky! “ gulp” I had swallowed some water but it tasted off. “Gulp” Oh my! I had finally realised where I was, I was in a river! I was so upset! I had never left the ocean before, it was my home and I didn’t even have my school with me. I began to sniffle then I teared up. I was crying. Home meant so much to me and “What? Treasure, Coral, Shelly!” Oh my shark! My school they’re here! We may have not found the ocean yet, but being with my school again really feels like home.
