Meaning of Home
Home is my safe place. It is where I have lots of fun. My home is small but perfect for me, my little brother and my mummy-daddy. My mommy likes small houses, like this, so that we do not get scared or think monsters might be hiding in some of the rooms. My home always brings us together, giving me a cozy and very happy feeling when I am at home with my family.
I live in an apartment building on the bottom (ground) floor. It is easy to get outside to play or go to school, a restaurant, the mall, the beach, and the playground. I can look outside at the beautiful trees and flowers, kids playing, and many cars on the road from my window. Even if I stay at home all day when we are not feeling well, I do not feel lonely. I share my room with my little brother, which we have filled with our books, toys, and our crafts on the walls.
My home is our party palace. One Christmas, we put up our tent next to the Christmas tree and slept in our sleeping bags in our living room. On Fridays, it turns into a movie theatre and we all sit together and watch movies, eating popcorn. We have celebrated birthdays, Halloweens, and Indian festivals here.
My home is very close to my school, my friends, my favorite parks and all those places I like to go. We have very kind and helpful neighbors. If I move out, I will miss my teachers and the toys I might give away, my neighbors, my friends, and the three playgrounds here and my favorite restaurants. To me my home is where my family is, surrounded by friends and my favorite and familiar places.
