Meaning of Home

When most people hear the word home, they think of buildings with roofs, walls, and furniture. They are correct, but to me home is a place where memories are made. Where I feel safe, included, and myself. It’s not the building that makes me feel like I'm at home, it’s the people who fill my home with laughter and joy, my family. My family brightens up my smile when days are down. What’s so special about the smile is that no one can take that smile off my face and make me smile the way they do. Home is an area that shaped me and taught me to always be thankful for what I have. Even though I may not have everything I want, at least my family provides me with things I do need. Most importantly, I am thankful for my family and home.
