For me my house is...
My shelter
It protects me from thunderstorms, lightning, wind, and snow. In my house, I don't have to worry about the weather because my house will protect me. Because of my house, I don't have to worry about getting hurt.
A place to be with my family and friends
My house is the only place where I can be with my family. At home, I can tell my parents anything without feeling ashamed or embarrassed. At home, I can feel my parents' love and care for me.
A place where I can learn
I can learn on my own by studying for school and reading books. I can learn with the help of my family. I can ask my family for help with anything I want. I can also learn by observing my family members. From observing, I can learn manners, behaviour, my native language, and my culture.
My entertainment
At my house, I can watch movies, play with my sister, or play soccer. I can play soccer in my basement or play the guitar and sing. I can play board games or video games with my sister anytime I want. When I am alone, I can play video games by myself or with my friends by calling them.
My home is not a home because it's a building. It is a home because of the people who live in it and because it makes me who I am.
