The Meaning of Home

A home is not the same as a house. A house has four walls and a roof but a home is a special place where you can open up, laugh, hang out with friends and family, and to me it's a safe place. Home is a place where I feel happy, loved and safe. Home is a place where no one will judge me for being myself or being silly. Home is all my family: my brother and my Mom and Dad. At home is where all the memories are. Home is a nice warm, loving and cozy place for everyone. Home for you could be your friends or your nan’s or your dad’s or your mom’s. For me home is all of those places because those homes make me feel safe, welcomed and loved. At home there are a lot of memories from holidays like Christmas, Easter, New Years and Thanksgiving. During Christmas, after I open my presents at my house I always go to my two Nans' and my aunt and uncle's and on Boxing Day I eat cold plate at my Aunt Gert’s. During Thanksgiving, I always go to my aunt and uncle's for supper. At my home I love cozying up in bed and watching movies with my mom. Home to me means gathering on my rink with my friends or playing mini sticks in the house with them. Home to me is having a sleepover with my cousin at my aunt's and uncle's cabin. At home my family takes care of me, laughs with me, watches movies with me and does activities with me. In conclusion, home is a place where you feel safe, loved and comforted. Your home could be anywhere but my home is where me, my brother, my mom and dad live. Home will always be a special place for me. Home is where the heart is.
