The Meaning of Home

Home is where you live, but not just that. Home is where you grow. Home is where you make memories. Home is where you are welcome. It’s where you eat traditional foods and spend holidays with those you love most. Home has a special place in our hearts. Home is where you feel. You feel happy, sad, anxious, joyful, and loved. But home is also its own feeling. Its where you have the most fun. Home is the smell of delicious home cooked meals, home is the feeling of love and nourishing yummy food. Home is the taste of living, it’s the taste of laughter, of love. Home is the sound of the roaring TV with the hockey game, the sound of the shower going, the washing machine, the cats meowing, the dog barking, and the sound of love. Home is the sight of good food on the table and the warm beds we sleep on, the comforting touch of our loved ones, and home is also its own sense. The sense of home is love, creativity, togetherness, and everything beautiful that comes out of family and friends. But home is also where you feel included. Home is where our friends are. You could have non-blood related friends, or our family can be our friends, but either way our friends are our family. Home is where we are.
