The Meaning of Home

Home is a shelter. A shelter from bad days, rain, hail, and night. Home is a place to eat and learn. When you go inside, time stops. It is a place for friends, family, and you. I live in a house. Some other people live in apartments. Home can look like a lot of other things, but home not just a building. In my house, I have a room. My room is a private place to sleep, do homework, and play songs. My room is always a good place to rest after a long school day. The kitchen is the most magical place in my house. It’s where the delicious scent wafts into your nose, recipes are followed, and food is cooked. My kitchen always smells like a nice hot soup cooking in the evenings. So home is a place to rest, a place to cook, and a happy place to live. Each home is unique, but one thing that is the same: it’s that your heart always lives at home.
