The Meaning of Home

Home four walls, one roof, one family. Home is just a building right? Wrong! Home means something to me: it's not just a bunch of wood stacked on rubble. Home is where my family is. My mom, my dad, my two sisters, my dog and cat. Now that’s what I call home. Others say home is a building just a house, but it isn’t, it’s so much more. Home is where I can be myself, with no worries. Home is a place where I took my first steps, had all my birthdays, lost my first tooth, had fights with Ellie and Gabby, watched Gabby grow up ! Home is a place I sleep, eat and have fun with my family! Game night movie time, it all with my family. As long as it’s with my family it’s home! In bed my mom read me books in, the room I played with dolls in. A house is a building, a home is a bunch of memories and a loving amazing kind family.
