My Home
If you come to my house you will see my family playing Jenga
I smell the wood as the blocks hit the floor
The laughter roars and excitement gets big
I feel so good to see the family play
I see smiles on my siblings faces
I hear jokes and comments that are all so good
I know this is going to be a good night
Everyone likes the game, but they get angry
They don't like it when they make the tower fall
Everyone laughs even if they are sad
We try to keep the game going
When I make the tower fall, I feel sad
My mom enwraps me in a big hug
I feel warm and I have a big grin on my face
And talk to my sister who’s going to win
My dad and my brother are the only ones left
They battle and battle; my mind keeps changing thoughts - “Who would win?”
The tower was unstable and about to fall
Then my dad pulled a piece that secured the win
My brother didn’t know what to do and he pulled a piece
The tower came crashing down and my dad had won
We hugged him so hard and he hugged us back
My home isn’t just a place where I live
But it is the place that I feel loved and I have fun with everyone.
