Meaning of Home

Home is not just a house, it is a place where you feel happy, comfortable, and safe with family and friends. Some things that make me feel happy at home are reading, playing games, building Lego sets, drawing cute animals from a book, and colouring. One of my favourite games is Dog Crimes and one of my favourite Lego sets is Angel from Lilo and Stitch. Some of my favourite animals to draw are turtles and red pandas and I have a Wings of Fire colouring book. I have a home I love. I feel happy being with my family. I have a mom, a dad, a little sister, and a dog. I also like my home because I feel comfortable there. Some ways I feel comfortable are when I smell the food my mom cooks, especially cookies and sourdough. Cuddling with my family makes me feel cozy too. My fuzzy blanket that says my name all over it also helps me feel comfortable. I feel safe in my home. Some ways I feel safe are being with my family so that when I'm hurt, scared, or upset my family can help me. One time my dog barked like crazy at the door and I thought there was a cougar out there. I was scared so mommy hugged me and made me feel better. My home is a place where I feel happy, comfortable and safe. I think I am very lucky that I am able to have a home that I love. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for building homes because everyone needs a home that they can love too.
