My Home is My Happy Place

My Home, is a place, that makes me feel happy, safe, warm, and comfortable both inside and out! There are things that are extra special about my home like, if I’m feeling down, I have people to talk to at home and I can go into my room. I can draw, read, take a nap and listen to my Alexa. Another way I can get alone time is to walk down to the beach do a workout or go swimming and I can walk to the park to exercise and play there. Another thing that's special is that sometimes, before I go to bed, me and my family will either watch a movie or a show, and sometimes even play a fun board game. One thing about my home that I know for a fact, is that it’s nowhere close to being just a house. A house is a shelter and somewhere you can stay warm. It has no personality – unlike my home! My home is somewhere I can make memories and somewhere I will remember all my life. A home is a place where you know how to explain what it’s like, and it's a place for the things that are special to you. I love being with my family. They are the best people I could ask for. They help me through life all day, every day. I love them the most, but there are some friends at school that are also very special to me, and I love them so much as well. I like having them over and sharing my home with them. Something cool is that downstairs at my home there is a rec centre that me and my brother made. We play lots of games and play volleyball and basketball. One more thing I do at my home before I go to bed is I cuddle up in a blanket while holding up a book and me and my parents alternate reading each page so that we both get to read it. It feels special to me. My home is a place where I feel special. It started out as a house, but with family, friends and love inside, it turned into a home. Home is the symbol of everything precious. That’s why everyone deserves a home.
