Meaning of Home

My home is a place to be safe, loving, warm, and cozy. Not just my home, every home should make its people feel happy and loved. When I walk into my home from sports or from being away, I know I am safe and warm. My bedroom is the place where I can sleep, play, read, and relax. I can play soccer with my friends and other sports; when I come home, I feel relaxed and I lay on my big cozy bed with Loki, my cat. He gives me snuggles and nudges. When family comes over, we can play games. People who just bought a new house might not have a lot of memories in their house yet, but but they can still have a lot of love. My home is my place to live, to love, to make memories, and be safe, warm, and protected. In my house, the food is tasty and delicious. It's where I can have my favorite food: my grandma makes my favorite macaroni. My mom makes super good hot chocolate with marshmallows; my dad makes the BEST waffles and the BEST popcorn surprises. A home isn’t just a box to shelter in. Home feels like warmth: home sounds like laughter, talking, tears and sometimes quiet moments. Home looks like hugs, sitting together, laying together, and being together. Finally, a home is a place where you can be who you are meant to be, a place where you are accepted just the way you are.
