The Meaning of Home
Home isn’t just a house. It’s a roof over your head, friends to keep you company, and the delightful smell of fresh food in a pan. Home is where everyone belongs, whether they’re close relatives, interesting pets, or awesome friends. Anyone and everyone can be themselves, whether they’re excited, sad, angry, or frustrated.
Home is a place filled up to the brim with memories, laughter, and creativity. Everyone deserves a home, whether they’re tall or short, young or old, or even unkind.
Home is where you eat meals, share laughter, and sleep soundly at night. Everyone deserves to do these things. You’re allowed to cry, and you’re allowed to be angry, but at the end of the day everyone shares a nice hug and a “goodnight.”
I hope that all those homeless people out there won’t need to be homeless much longer, and I hope that they’ll find the laughter and joy inside themselves soon, too.
