What is Home?

Home is a safe place where you can escape from your winter day at school. The smell of your parents cooking passes through you like a warm cloud. Home is a safe place where you can be yourself and share stories with your family at the dining table. You walk into your bedroom to a warm bed with soft pillows. In your home, you play with toys and eat great food with your family. When it's time to sleep, you say goodnight to your family. The snowflakes slowly fall onto your window as you sink into a deep sleep. You wake up in the morning and get up from your bed to eat breakfast. Your parents give you pancakes with drippy syrup and melty butter. You eat the delicious pancakes before you leave for school. Your parents give you a big hug and tell you to have a great day. You say goodbye and walk out the door onto your front porch already missing your warm home.
