What Home Means

Home, means adventure down the hill to the river. Home also means card games, board games, and just games. If home is touch it will be the bumpiness of the walls separating my home into rooms, the fluffiness of my stuffys, the water streaming down my back when I take a shower, and also the smoothness of the computer. If home is sight it’s the light coming from flash light shining everything into view even when it’s darker than the inside of a one kilometer deep cave; But when it’s daytime it’s the steam dancing on the water heater. If home is a taste it’s the warmth of hot chocolate or the sweet sugar of iced tea or the refreshing sip of milk. If home is a sound it’s the garage door opening, a flick of a switch. If home is an emotion it’s the enjoyment of playdates or the safe feeling I like.
