What Makes a House a Home

What makes a house a home is when the home gives you a different feeling, when it makes you feel safe and when it brings you joy. It doesn’t have to be a home with windows and walls; it could be outside like the ocean or the forest. The only thing that makes it a home is that it’s important to you, and you care for it. When you’re in a home you hear laughter and excitement but when you’re in a house you hear silence and awkwardness. When your home is an ocean you will hear waves crashing at the shore. When your home is a forest you will hear birds chirping in the trees. My home makes me feel appreciated and protected, and it also makes me feel loved and secure. My home brings me different feelings, and those feelings all make me happy. I love when my mom cooks and i can smell the taste of spring rolls and chicken and rice or when I play outside while my dad is washing the cars. My home is a special place in my heart that will always be there.
