Home could be anywhere as long as it's yours

For me, home is more than just a bed Or the lights hung from the ceiling, It's less about the furniture And more about the feeling. The size is not what matters The stories they tell are fake, The thing that's really important Are the memories you make. Home looks like everyone Gathered together, Which is definitely one of the Best feelings ever. Home smells like The treats we bake, Cookies, brownies, Or a big chocolate cake. Home feels like safety, As my mom always said, From the morning you wake up, Till the time you go to bed. Home sounds like laughter, That echoes through the room, Or my dad’s loud sneezes, That are straight out of a cartoon. Home tastes like My dad’s special pancakes, That I get up early To help him make. Home is filled with joy, And love that's all around, When you feel these feelings You know your home has been found. Turns out a home doesn't need a roof, Or a kitchen or a pot filled with steaming soup, It doesn't even need any doors Home could be anywhere as long as it's yours.
