My Home is my Family

This is a day at my home: When I wake up in the morning, I feel nice, comfortable, safe and loved. My mom always says good morning to me and that makes me feel good. I walk to the kitchen and see that breakfast is ready for me to eat. I get on the couch and my dog jumps on me, I laugh and snuggle him. After a long day at work, my parents always have a smile on their faces. When I see that, I am happy. I always get happy when my sister wants to play with me after school. One day when my sister and I were playing, my mom told us that the family is coming for dinner. I get excited to see my family. When my dad is cooking dinner for the family, I smell and hear that my family takes care of me. When the family arrives at my house, I greet them and say I love them. When my dad is finished cooking dinner, we all sit down at the table and say Grace and start eating. I look at all the photos near me and think that each one has a memory inside it. When my family is finished eating, we all play a boardgame, that really makes me feel at home. After a long day, my family leaves. It gets late and my mom and dad say good night to me and tucks me in to sleep. And that's what home means to me! Thank you, Habitat of Humanity, for giving me the opportunity to talk about what home means to me.
