Your Home Is What You Make It
Home is not a place. It's a familiar feeling, and the loving people that go with it. When somebody says the word home it’s not always a physical structure, or a room, it can also be a feeling. Home can be a feeling by how much you love your family. For example, when your grandma is making cookies in the kitchen you can feel a sense of warmth from how much you appreciate her and everything she has done for you. The definition of home is my family. The reason why is a never ending list of activities and happiness that always lightens my mood. For example, sometimes when I come home in the winter in my snowy winter boots after being swept up by the blizzard outside, my dad and I cook. We work as a team and always have lots of fun. I also enjoy playing hockey with him. My favourite family activity of them all is going to British Columbia with my mom, dad and sister Myra. The warmth of getting on the plane knowing how much fun awaits always makes my heart jump and sing in excitement. That's what home means to me, not a physical structure but a hug, a story and a place I always want to be.
Sincerely, Ari
