A Place Called Home

Home is not just built out of wood and cement but of love and warm hugs to brighten even the darkest days. It's a place where I am shielded with safety and adoration. Home is like all the different ingredients to a cupcake, but instead of flour, sugar and butter, it's love to tie it all together. Memories to give its exquisite flavour, support so that it can rise to the fullest and comfort so that it is warm and moist. If all those pieces come together they create something irreplaceable, a feeling no recipe can ever replicate! Home reminds me of a range of mountains. Some climbs are hard, and exhausting, others are easy going and smooth. While maintaining an optimistic personality through the highs and lows my family and I never give up. Even when we are carrying the heaviest burdens, we can still overcome any challenge. We will always stand upon the next climb and reach brilliance in life as one. When I am at home I never feel alone even if I am by myself. When I think of home I visualize a garden of flowers, all their own color and shapes, yet standing each side by side helping each other through the journey of growing and blooming! I have a dream that one day I will become a professional soccer player and with every pass and shot, my family cheers me on and lifts me higher as I chase my goal! They remind me that courage is not being afraid of anything, it's about facing your fears and overcoming them. Home is a place where you are surrounded by encouragement, support, and people to let you know that you don't face these challenges alone. Home makes my heart glow with warmth and shine with happiness. Providing each other with guidance and passion, we can accomplish anything together. Everywhere I go with my family I feel I am being nestled between a cozy blanket wrapping me in warmth and safety! Home is a spark of light that makes the hard times feel less difficult. It's a place where you can grow with one another and never be alone while doing it. Home is a place where when we hold hands it seems to soothe the world!
