The Meaning of Home

Words and objects can have many meanings. For instance, the word and thing we call home. What is home? Home can be where you live, your hometown. It can even be a community. We have our own opinions for what home can mean. For others, home can mean family. I believe that and that is where I will begin. Why is family home? Family is the reason that we have been sustained this far in life. In the beginning of life, our family takes care of us, feed us, and protect us. Later in life, family helps support us. Comparing family to other meanings of home, they provide comfort, and support physically and mentally. Family is not far from being home, it just varies on if your kins are close enough to you. How is family different compared to other versions or meanings of home? There are no distinct differences between the meanings of home. It depends on the person, one can feel at home with their family. While another person can feel more comforted with their community. Each home have something that they can share: Stories, saftey, comfort, and valuable lessons. Home is like family. It is diverse, you can have your own opinions and be respected. Family is home.
