What Makes a House a Home

What makes a house a home can be anything. A home does not have to be 4 walls, a structure, or even a place! A home is anywhere you feel comfortable. Home doesn’t matter what it is whether it is a person, a school, family, or a community. My home is with my friends. They make me laugh and can plaster a smile on my face no matter what I’m going through, I could be going through a lot and they still would manage to make me laugh and smile like an idiot. Even during my darkest times my friends are by my side. My friends have always been there for me, I always feel fulfilled with joy and gratitude with them, no matter where they are, even through a screen! I love them very much, even if I do not say it I really love my friends dearly. They make me feel at home. I also have another home. That is my house. My house is not small but not huge. Let us enter, first is the stairs. One leads upstairs and the other leads downstairs. I used to sit on the stairs with my old cat. He once scratched me and from then I held a grudge against him to this day. To the upstairs! In our upstairs is my bedroom, my parents' bedroom, the living room and finally the kitchen. In the kitchen I eat my favourite meals, and in the living room I spend time with my sisters. My bedroom is my favourite place; I decorated it myself and if you saw it you would go “oh yup that’s them!” That’s all for my writing piece, now ask yourself, what makes your house a home?
