What is a Home?

Recently, I looked up the definition of home on a search engine, which told me that home is a structure. To me, home is so much more than a building. My home is a limitless feeling of delight and protection that stretches for kilometers. It is a gigantic, loving, inclusive circle where everyone is appreciated and valued as equal. Home is where I am free to be myself, and express my ideas. Home is a sanctuary for my thoughts to wander in the quiet. My home is a canvas, a blank page where I can let my creativity thrive and grow. My home is humble; it never hides the truth. Like a hive is to a bee or a nest is to a bird, my home is where I rest my head to slumber. My home is where I play with my friends, and unwind with my family. Home is where nobody is bullied or left behind. It is the lighthouse that shows me the way, through a sea of chaos and confusion, to land. My home is a supportive friend that carries me through the ups and downs of life, able to wipe away my tears of sadness and make them tears of joy. Home is where I eat, sleep, and play safely and happily. No search engine knows what home is to me.
