Meaning of Home

For me the meaning of home is a place where I feel happy, loved and where I belong. I feel these things at quite a few different places. I feel these emotions at school, my house and when I’m at basketball. At school I feel happy because of the friendly and cooperative environment. I also feel happy at school because of all my friends and peers. We all work together well and are respectful of each other's boundaries which makes me feel comfortable. I feel loved at my house because of my family. My older brother makes me feel loved because he teaches me how to draw different things and he will go on walks with me in the summer time. My parents make me feel loved because they tuck me into my bed every night. They also give me lots of hugs when I’m sad or sick. I feel like I belong at basketball because I have friendly and cheerful teammates who make me happy. My teammates are also kind. When someone on my team is hurt they make sure that they get help and they're okay. I feel all these emotions in so many more places that I can't count how many there are. So for me home is almost everywhere, from my house in my community to all the way in Saskatoon with my grandparents. In the end, I feel like I’m at home no matter where I am.
