Home

Is a house the same as a home? Well... A house is a place with a roof, walls, and floor. A house might just be a building, while a home is where everyone is welcomed with open arms. Where you feel seen. A house is a place with windows and doors, while a home is the dreams and stories you share with each other. Where you have trust with each other and you are eager to share memories. A house might just be a structure with bricks and cement, while a home is a place where you feel protected. Where you feel safe with the people around you. A house might be a place you live in, while a home is a place you go when you’re mad, sad, even happy. A place where you can be yourself. A home is a warm place filled with love. Love in the air you breathe, the food you eat, and the blood that runs through your body. Home might be a place with dust and dirt, but it’s filled with noise and joy. Home is the silence that calms you and the voices that make you laugh and smile, the same voices that make you feel important and loved. A house and a home might be the same place, but home is beyond what you see.
