Just Take a Different Perspective of “Home”
If my home was a color it would be light green, because of its calming and comforting aroma. If my home was a school subject it would be art, because it is full of creativity and it’s very open to share your ideas! If my home was a fruit it would be a blueberry because you never know if it’s going to be sweet or sour. You see, my “home” feels like a house, even though I've lived there for over 5 years. Almost everyday I would wake up to construction, it affected my focus in the morning. Once when it was finally over… Our basement flooded, so more construction. In my opinion, a checklist of what makes up a home is comfort, safeness, creativity, warmth, laughter, and joyfulness. For a house, it would be shelter, furniture, food, and water. Sometimes what makes my house feel like a home is the people inside it. I have two older brothers that are 20 and 18, I have a mom, and a dad! My two brothers are so annoying-and they don’t know it, but every time they hug me, pick me up, or just glance at me, it lights up my day. My Dad is so awesome, he calls me his “little poison berry”-his favorite movie is “Hotel Transylvania”! My mom does so much for everyone, she has like 12+ jobs in one yet she isn't even getting paid. She still makes time to spend with me. Sometimes the sour part of the blueberry is annoying, look at it from my perspective. My house isn't a home if you go by the checklist, but if you look at the people inside it , it's the best home anyone could ask for.
