There's No Place Like Home

Home is the place of love, joy, and laughter. When I come home from a long day of school, I know that there is a comfortable place waiting for me. Home feels like a place of warmth, home sounds like the crackling noise of a fire burning wood. Home looks like the place where you would want to relax on the bed and read a book on a sunny day. Home smells like freshly baked cookies and tastes like hot chocolate on Christmas day. My home is the best! The living room is the place where everyone is happy and doing something they like. For example, my dad would make jokes, my mom would just relax, my sister would watch TV, my cat would sleep, and I would play chess with myself. Our bedrooms are our own private space to sleep, meditate, read, and do work. The piano room is the place of music and also the place where the fish in the aquarium makes calm splashing noises. The hallways are filled with memories from the walls to floors. The hallway walls have a few pictures with my family in it, meanwhile the floor has scratch marks from my cat because she loves our home so much that she is marking her spot. In summer, the backyard is the place where my family has a great time with each other. We relax, go to our pool, and play games. And in winter, the backyard is the place of snow. My dad and I make snow men. A home and house have a lot of differences. The best part is that in our home, there will always be someone to support me and take care of me whether it's my parents, my sister, and my fluffy cat.
