Home is my Happy Place

Home is my happy place because of the people in it like family or friends. A house isn't just a building, it's a place where memories are made and friends are found. A house isn't just a place that puts a roof over your head, it’s the nights when it's cold and you’re hiding under your cozy blankets watching a movie or playing board games. Sometimes you have to leave your home when everything is going great. Home isn't just a place or an address, it’s somewhere where you don't need to be afraid. It’s a place where you can cry and laugh without anybody judging you. Home makes me feel safe because the people in it care about me and love me. When I’m at home I feel free from the mean people in the world but when I'm at home, I just don't feel the same way when I'm not at home. Some homes have objects that make you happy and safe, like a dog or really anything you love. Objects aren't just things that are there. Some of them mean something to you. Objects are things that have meaning to you. Some places you will have funny memories and in other places you might have sad memories but when you're with your family everything is okay. In places that you don't feel safe you're sad and scared and that's why you are always in a safe place. That's what home means to me and that's why home is my happy place.
