How I Know I’m Home

I know i’m home when I feel safe When I feel loved When I feel like it's my safe place. When I wake up the smell of my Moms fresh baked pancakes Sizzling on a hot pan guides me down stairs And the sound of my calico cat wanting breakfast That's how I know I'm home. It’s where you should be able to express yourself And show your feelings That's how I know I'm home. When it's dinner I feel the steam from my dads home-made ramen We all gather around And sit at the table Eating and asking each other questions about are day, Expressing ourselves that's how I know i’m home
