What Home Means to Me

Home is where the heart is. It is where you laugh, love, cry, and be happy. It is where you feel safe and loved all at once. My Dad, my brother and I love to play soccer together. Sometimes when we make mistakes we laugh at each other. My Mom and I make crafts together and we have so much fun. I love playing with my family. When it is cold outside my Dad makes a cozy fire and my family snuggles in front of it. My parents make funny jokes and make my siblings and I laugh. When we do that it makes me feel loved and warm on the inside. When I get home from school I can smell my Dad's delicious cooking. When we sit at the table to eat I’m not thinking about the food, I’m thinking about the family. I’m so grateful that I have parents to make good food for us to eat. I love when my family goes to our cottage on the beach. We bring over friends and we have a great time. Sometimes we play soccer, sometimes we play volleyball. I remember my friend and I wanted to play soccer with some teenagers but we were afraid to ask them, but we built up the courage to ask them and they let us play. We had a great time. I love my family. They are so kind. There is no one I’d rather live with.
