Paws, Pucks, and My Happy Place

Hello, my name is Logan. I know you have probably heard a lot of, “Home isn’t just a house.” But I am going to take a different approach. I feel at home with many things, but today I’m going to talk about two vastly different things that make me feel the same but in different ways. Dogs & Hockey, yes today I am talking about dogs & hockey. I love playing hockey and when I am not playing hockey I sometimes go to one of my friends houses because they have a dog. I play for the A2 U11 River East Royals hockey team. My team has nine forwards, four defencemen, and two goalies we play five on five plus a goalie. (Three forwards, two defencemen, and one goalie.) A lot of my teammates have a dog, and a lot of my classmates also have a dog. Some of my favourite dog breeds are Golden Retrievers, Australian Shepards, and Labrador Retrievers. One of my neighbors has two Labrador Retrievers! One of the best feelings ever is scoring a goal and then going to a friends house where I can pet their dog. My hockey team is going to the play-offs soon we are hoping to win the City Championship, and my dad might get me the championship ring with my teams logo.
