How to Turn a House into a Home
Last December I moved into my new house. We are in the process of turning it into a home. My favourite thing about my house is that my whole family is with me. The first step to turning a house into a home is putting the furniture into the new house. My dad does all of the heavy lifting but I helped by staying up late to help unpack with my mom. Then we figure out where to put everything in its place. Once everything is put in its place and the boxes are out of the house then the house will start to feel more like home.
Second, we want our house to feel more like a home. A home should feel calm, cozy and relaxed. When a home feels like this you can be yourself and feel safe. The comfiest place in my house would be my bed. It's the space where I feel safe and be myself.
The third thing that makes a house a home is the people in it. For me it's my family, my family makes me feel safe and warm inside like I can be myself with them. They are comforting when I am sad. My favourite thing to do with one of my sisters is to play on our Nintendo switch. I have three sisters that are all unique, one is 14 years old and my other sister is 8 years old and the youngest sister is 5 years old. My favourite thing to do with my oldest is to watch movies, my other sister loves to play pretend with me. My other sister loves to play games on our electronics and do fiscal things like fighting but not violently, or we would play with our plushies.
There are a lot of steps to make a house a home and I think everyone should have a home.
