What Home Means to Me
What does home mean to me? It means not only love and fun like most people say. Yes, it is fun and love, but it also is pain, a reminder of who I have lost over the years. This year, I'll be 11 years old, but I lost people I love. Some are still here, but I'm going to talk about one person I lost and one I still have. The person I lost died when I was 5 years old. My mom died from two sickness. She had cancer and she had a tube in her side to help her pee, but it fell out, so she went to the hospital to get fixed. Her doctor wasn’t there, so she had to wait and germs got in the hole. She got another sickness and she couldn't fight both, so she passed away. Her name was Mary Macrae. The person I still have is my dad, Kodi Hollingsworth. He was on Canadian teams for ball hockey. He’s in so many NBHL’S and the captain of Niagara Fighting Irish! That's my meaning of home.
