What Home Means to Me

Hi I’m Amaris. Home feels like to me that I can be myself. Home is fun and calming. At home, I share a room with my sister and I like to come home to the smell of pasta and chicken. At home, me, my mom and my sister play games like what time is it Mr. Wolf and other things that we like to play at school. Sometimes, I offer to cook like I once made pasta and chicken. Home isn't just a place where people hang out and stuff like that, I also do arts and crafts. If there is one thing I don’t like about my house, it is that sometimes we argue. Some people think home is just playing and seeing family but to me it's more than that, home is seeing family and spending time together and home is sleeping with mom. It’s where we play, laugh and read books. Spending time at home makes me happy. Home is my safe place and it is where my mom spends time with me. I love her, she's kind, she's the best mom in the world. My dad is beautiful and kind. I love my sister too, she's so pretty and nice. We can begin to fight like all sisters do and I just feel so happy that I'm able to have a sister and mom that love me so much. I'm happy that my mom spends time with me. I'm happy that my dad spends time with me. I'm happy that my mom and dad love me so much. I'm happy that my family is my family. Home is not just a place where you relax and have fun and stuff like that, home, it is your safe place.
