The Meaning of Home to Me
I'm sure you and I have different ideas about home. To me, home means a lot. Home is not just where I live, it's where I feel safe and loved, like my parents wrapping me in a hug if I don't feel good. When I say safe. I don't just feel safe physically but mentally too. I feel relaxed and calm when I am at home. When I am at home, I always feel loved. Even when my parents aren't in the house. I feel loved by my dog, especially when I am sick. When I get home from school, whether I walk or my mom picks me up. As I step into the house, I instantly get a familiar smell and maybe a little mess or a pile of shoes on the floor. Later, I get a smell that dinner is cooking and will be ready soon.
When we moved into this house when i was a baby, I'm sure it wasn't home then, but it quickly became the home I've grown to love. It didn't have to have all the furniture, but it had my family and that's what made it home because home is wherever my family is.
Sometimes home will smell like my dog, maybe after he comes home from a walk. Sometimes he might smell like a wet dog or mud. Sometimes I come home from school, and I've had a rough day. There's always someone who will listen to my problems. At home I find I am treated with kindness and a lot of it too, for example if I can't find something we all try and find it.
sometimes i get lonely being an only child but sometimes it's nice but i have my dog who's like a brother to me and that's enough. home is the many many memories we make there like this time i got a sticky gecko stuck on the roof and if you look carefully, you can still see the mark. To me home are the many memories layered inside. If you look carefully, maybe you can find one in your house too.
And that is what home means to me!!!!!!
