Growing With My Home
In my home I grow,
never going with the flow.
I see Bunny’s in the yard,
like a cute welcome card.
The sudden crackling of the fire,
In that little place, I admire.
Smelling my mom’s coffee,
and the sweet taste of toffee.
I can hear piano keys,
and the buzzing of fleas.
Fresh flowers in the house,
and the squeaking of a mouse.
I AM GROWING WITH MY HOME
Smelling pages of a book,
when I snuggle in my reading nook.
When I hear my parents’ voice,
I stand up and rejoice.
Always safe when my nose is in a book,
relaxed in my bed or, nook.
Brothers laughing,
While in water, splashing.
Playing board games with my family,
is really quite dandy.
The sweet taste of a German bun,
It’s oh so much fun!
I AM GROWING WITH MY HOME
Oh yes Oma's treats,
It’s like you could eat and eat.
Sometimes I think of past pets,
It makes you want to hug their blankets.
There are different religions,
But I've made my decisions.
Christmas! We decorate the Christmas tree,
I can't help but shout with glee.
When I taste the delicious homecooked pasta,
I laugh when my brother shouts “I can’t eat any fasta.”
I AM GROWING WITH MY HOME
Even though I love family movie night,
It sometimes ends in a slight fight.
I AM GROWING WITH MY HOME
Everyone deserves a home,
and should never be alone.
So, thank you Meaning of Home. Your purpose is important to many people who need a home and a place to be loved!
