Home Is Where I Belong

Home is where the light falls soft, Through quiet curtains at the break of dawn, Where we remember every step Of all the miles I've wandered on. It's not the bricks, nor painted walls, Nor any single street of song — It's the hush that wraps around my name And tells my restless heart, be strong. Home is laughter in the kitchen air, Warm bread and stories passed along, The kind of silence shared at dusk Where even shadows feel they belong. It's the porch that holds the evening sky, The worn-out chairs, the old wind’s song, The way the world can rage outside, But here, the storm won't last for long. Home is found in steady hands, In whispered prayers when nights are long, In every scar and every dream That taught my fragile soul its song. And though I roam through foreign days, Through crowded streets and ocean songs, My heart will trace its tender map Back to the place I belong. For home is not a place alone — It's the love that stands when things go wrong. It's where I'm known and still embraced. Home is where I belong.
