Home is my special place
Home is not ordinary it is where you spend your only life. It’s where you play games and laugh. When I think of home I think of my old house, it’s warm, cozy and where my friends are. Some sounds at my home can be from soccer balls hitting the wall to bacon sizzling on a pan! I have two brother’s that drive me crazy but, in my heart, they are the best. In the summer I hear birds chirping and, in the winter, waking up to a snow day, those are the moments that make me feel like I am at home no matter where I am. Some smells at home are the smell of my mom making banana bread or my dad boiling his broth. My home is my one and only memory holder from when I was a baby to then moving to a new house and now with the warmth of my family the two of my houses I grew up in and am growing up in are the only ones I could ever think of. My cozy bed are the places where I remember how important my house is and that some people don’t have any. Playing soccer is what I love and making snowballs in the winter where my home is where I get to do all my favorite things. Home can be way more than one place. For me I can always recognize the smell of the canteen in skylight, the place where I play soccer, but for you it could be anywhere.
Habitat for Humanity, I think it is important that people keep it in mind that some people do not have the warmth of a house thank you for reading my letter!
