Home is a Feeling

Home does not have to be real. I've been to many places, but never “home’’. What makes me think of home is the wonderful smell of my basement. It smells so good I never want to leave. I also love the basement because There is lots of stuff to do and it's so much fun! Also, I feel at home when my family is bonding by watching a movie together. I love the sounds of laughter while we talk about our day. There is always the smell of tasty food being cooked when my sister and I come home from school. Home is where I go to shed my tears, make new memories, and be cared for when I need it most. Like I said, I've never felt at home but sometimes it sure can feel like it. Even if I have a bad day, I can still imagine it. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for being so kind and helpful and making it possible for everyone to feel like they have a home.
