What Home Means to Me
Is a house a home? Is a home a house? Maybe it's both but when I think of a home I think of the sugary sweet moments with my family or the smell of fresh cookies baking in the oven. Or hearing my family say I love you in the distance. But I also think of when my brother takes me to play hockey at Gateway Arena. Or snowmobiling with my dad or spending time with my mom, my dad, my brothers and my dogs, those moments are special to me. When I think of a house, I think of the items in it like a furnace or a fridge. Another moment in my home is me and mom making dinner for my family or baking chocolate cake. That makes me happy. A home is not just walls and a roof; it’s the moments and the memories. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for making a difference and helping people without a home.
